Fashion Editor and Stylist Isabelle Thiry parts her time between Hamburg, Germany, Stockolm and Sweden. Once the Fashion Editor at German Marie Claire, Thiry now directs menswear magazine Feld Hommes whilst freelance styling for publications like ELLE Russia, Room Magazine, Zeit and TUSH.

Someone that we've only just discovered but fell completely in love with is Sydney-based photographer, Dakota Gordon. Girls, guys - whatever you're into, we're sure you're going to dig her work.

Britta Burger is a London based photographer and fashion editor and stylist for Cooler Magazine.

LOTTA NIEMINEN

She has got Lotta talent (pun intended).

Finnish freelance illustrator, graphic designer and art director Lotta Nieminen’s work is incredibly rich and inspiring. The ridiculously talented and multidisciplinary designer has studied at the University of Art & Design (Helsinki) and the Rhode Island School of Design, and has since worked for fashion magazines Trendi in Finland and Pentagram Design in New York.

Melbourne based creative studio Duo Du o have worked with clients like G-Star, Neuw, Lee, Zomp and Wrangler. Predominately fashion focused, those who make up the talented team have developed and led large scale campaigns and projects for high profile companies like L'Oreal, Vodafone, Specsavers, Mercedes Benz Group and Coca Cola.

MOTHER OF PEARL SS/13

Mother of Pearl by Maia Norman is an innovative clothing label that blends art with fashion. Each season the brand collaborates with artists (like Polly Morgan, Keith Tyson and Gary Hume) into their designs through print. The labels Spring/Summer 2013 collection features work by Italian artist Francesco Simeti; think Carol Brady meets Chanel. 

MBFF: EMERGING DESIGNER SHOW

 The Emerging Designer Showcase featured Brisbane's finest up and coming designers. Although Ash to Gold and AMIRA were crowd favourites, PITCH gave its crown to Tovah.

LACOSTE L!VE x MICAH LIDBERG

Something that we've come across a little late, (but amazing nonetheless) is an exciting collaboration between American illustrator Micah Lidberg and Lacoste, in their Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. The collection is suited for both men and women to which Lidberg describes as “a fun and colourful collection that embraces youthfulness." 

MBFF: FASHION GRADUATE OF THE YEAR

PITCH was fortunate enough to attend the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival in Brisbane this year. We were more then impressed by the incredible designs that featured in the fashion graduate of the year show, as well as in the emerging designers showcase. Carlie Waterman was the deserving winner from the graduate show and had a show stopping collection that was purely inspired.

A PRETTY PIECE WITH A PSYCHADELIC CHERRY ON TOP

Australian design duo Anna Plunkett and Luke Sales behind Romance Was Born, have once again exceeded fashion heights with their pre-collection Miraculous Mundane. Miraculous indeed, the duo have drawn inspiration from psychedelic Willy Wonka and dreamlike Australian artist Stephen Bush to create a whirlwind of colour, candy and chaos.

Curtin House’s (Melbourne) newest retail destination, Pet Shop Girls, has an aesthetically delicious online store to match. It stocks all things uber casual, quaint and/or eccentric. If it was a person it would be that dorky kid in high school who suddenly had street-cred when being adorably nerdy and ironic became cool.
