PITCH was fortunate enough to attend the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival in Brisbane this year. We were more then impressed by the incredible designs that featured in the fashion graduate of the year show, as well as in the emerging designers showcase. Carlie Waterman was the deserving winner from the graduate show and had a show stopping collection that was purely inspired.
Our favourite piece was the embellished crop top that had the audience gasping all at once when it flickered down the runway. Our other favourites were Sally Edwards with a recurring tartan on tartan theme that we couldn't get enough off, major props to her for featuring both mens and womenswear. We also adored Anna Langdon's collection which was bright and quirky and had a modern take on Australian culture at its core. The fashion was more then impressive and we sat in awe reminding ourselves that each collection was completed by post graduates.
