KUWAII SS12-13

The Kuwaii SS12-13 'Landscape' Collection by Melbourne based designer Kristy Barber is everything you could possibly want in a spring wardrobe plus more, and by more we mean MORE. Que major floordrobe now, because there is not a single item in this collection that we are not dying to try on.

The silhouettes and structure that Kuwaii clothing utilises is unlike any other design, it's innovative and bold and thats exactly why we like it. The cut outs in the dresses appear in all the right places ie: the shoulders and upper back,  adding that simple touch of femininity without being overbearing to the rest of the design. We are obsessed with the bright red hues, and admittedly they are leaving us with that sun kissed feeling and we are perhaps dreaming of summer already.

It is obvious not only from  the title of the collection, but from the beautiful patterns and colour concepts that each individual ensemble was incredibly inspired. Major highlights from the collection are the pastel blues, pastels will no doubt be on trend again for S/S13 and the baby blue blazer featured, is perfection. Another high is despite how opposite this may appear on paper the added touch of having an unlikely LBD in the line works wonders. It still incorporates that casual chic look and in no way seems out of place or contradicting amongst the rest of the clothing. And lets be honest theres always room for another little black dress in every girls wardrobe. The PITCH team is also majorly digging the strappy white platforms, granted we are still shocked that they seem to compliment every single look. Definitely one to put in the shopping cart for the change of seasons. What else can we say, this collection has us practically leaping into Spring.
