Melbourne based illustrator Emma Leonard uses a variance of black line and pastel hues combined with digital techniques. Her oeuvre captures the fragility of the feminine shape, with an emphasis on expression. The women she draws seem to share the same wistful and slightly secretive nature, as if she has caught them deep in despondent thought.

The overall effect of her work is a bitter-sweetness, created by the amalgamation of beautiful aesthetics with a  melancholy essence and subject matter.

Emma is a favourite of Finders Keepers and boasts an impressive list of clientele, including Random HouseElle Quebecand Melbourne Fashion Institute.
